EXPOSED AGGREGATEThis type of concrete has gained popularity in recent times. It has been suited to both old style federation homes and cottage style houses, as well as ultramodern designs.

There is a wide range of mixes available. The mixes can be premixed at the source plant and poured on site, or they can be seeded on site. However, the seeding method is not highly recommended because it produces inconsistency in the end product, although this option may be discussed if needed.

We usually use premixed mixes from WA Premix, BGC, Readymix - Holcim, Boral. It is therefore important to ensure correct names of mixes from suppliers are quoted to us, when requesting feedback from us about prices.

CS Concreting highly recommends acid washing and sealing of exposed surfaces, with high quality chemicals, a service also provided by our company.

POURED LIMESTONEPoured limestone is, in actual fact, reconstituted crushed limestone, mixed with cream cement mix. It therefore has advantages over ordinary concrete type mixes. One of these advantages is that it does not heat up in the sun as much as ordinary concrete does.
